The client had a website which was in need of modernising as well as increased flexibility to allow easy updating of content and product information and pricing.
Originally the client had a large amount of spreadsheets dedicated to the different lighting categories which included the product name, description and price. Each time any product had to be amended or changed, the whole spreadsheet would have to be re-uploaded to the site after having made the relevant amendments which could take up a lot of time. Adding product pictures to the site was also near impossible due to the inflexibility of the software that they were using.
PCM were able to create a website for the client with a Content Management System, which allowed them to easily update pictures, descriptions and prices as well as add or remove products easily. This allowed the clients to keep their website up to date
In addition to creating their website, PCM built a trade login system for Endon’s trade clients. The trade login was built in such a way that the pricing discounts applied to the different trade clients could be made specific to them. This meant that trade clients of Endon could login to the trade porthole and access pricing that was specifically discounted for them, and that this could be achieved without lengthy in-house administration processes.
