Following Friday's ransomware attack that caused severe disruption in 150 countries, and severely affected the NHS in the UK, the National Cyber Security Centre has released a statement advising organisations to ensure their security software patches are up to date, they're using Anti Virus protection, and that any important data is backed-up.

The National Cyber Security Centre are also warning that they expect to see more cases in the next few days as the working week begins. There are already 200,000 known victims, both companies and private individuals, affected by the virus, known as the Wanna Decryptor or WannaCry.

Director of Europol, Rob Wainwright, said they've never seen anything on the same scale. You can see his interview on theĀ BBC website.
