When we talk about ‘Cloud’ we’re talking about products that can be accessed through the internet on most PCs, laptops and mobile devices from anywhere in the world.

The advancement of Cloud means that it is easier to work from anywhere, and with anyone, whilst maintaining security. Cloud applications often work out cheaper for businesses too, as they are licensed per user, not per device, and you don’t need to buy new hardware.

Cloud-Based Email

Being able to access your email from anywhere and on any device is a real benefit for businesses, especially those with remote workers. As long as you have the login credentials, you can use your mobile, tablet or a PC to access your emails. Multi-factor authentication makes it hard for unauthorised users to access the accounts.

You can backup your emails and archive them remotely using remote data backup.

Cloud-Based Office Tools

No longer are you bound to one PC to access spreadsheets, Word documents and presentation slides. With Cloud tools you can create, edit and share documents from anywhere. If you’re an old guard of Microsoft Office then try Office 365. Alternatively, G Suite offer Docs, Sheets, Slides and more applications for business users.

Cloud-Based Communication

‘Collaboration’ is a cloud buzzword, but what it really boils down to is being able to work more seamlessly with your colleagues, suppliers and customers.

Skype for business, Slack, Google Hangouts, Microsoft Teams - all of these cloud applications are designed to increase collaboration between teams.

  • Swap expensive and time-consuming face to face meetings for video conference calls
  • Share quick messages, links and useful information
  • Save space on email storage (if you’re not using Cloud Email) as images and files can be shared rather than sent
